Because of a change in the way that data is stored on the games disk new games will not boot on ixtreme firmware prior to ixtreme 1.51. If you have xtreme firmware 5.3 or below you'll probably be OK. You must have your firmware upgraded to 1.51 or 1.61 for new games to play on your console.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell what version of the firmware is on your console. There is no option anywhere in the system to report DVD firmware versions. If you had your console flashed or brought your console before march 2009 it wont have ixtreme 1.51.
